Investing at the Intersection of Real Estate and Emerging Technology
Kaufman Ventures, led by principal and founder Daniel Kaufman, funds early-stage startups across six verticals, AI infrastructure, robotics & automation, data centers, modular construction, 3D printing & advanced manufacturing, and early-stage real estate technology more broadly.
Built to Solve the Platform’s Own Problems First
Several portfolio companies were built to solve problems Kaufman & Company’s own operating companies face first, before being opened to the broader market. That gives Kaufman Ventures an unusual advantage, a live testing ground and a first customer before it’s introduced to the broader market.
Kaufman Ventures favors founders working at the seams between physical infrastructure and software, the places where real estate, capital, and emerging technology meet.
Every investment is funded from Kaufman & Company’s own balance sheet, patient, permanent capital with no fund life to manage around and no outside limited partners to report to, alongside select joint-venture and co-investment partners on individual deals.

Built to solve Kaufman Real Estate & Consulting’s own wholesale-sourcing problem first, now an autonomous AI engine that finds, calls, and closes deals for outside buyers too.

Daniel Kaufman is founder and principal of Kaufman Ventures, and founder and CEO of Kaufman & Company, the platform the fund sits inside as its 10th operating company. His career in real estate development began in Detroit in 1992, more than 25 years of acquisition, development, and capital markets work spanning multifamily, build-to-rent, workforce and affordable housing, hospitality, and mixed-use.
That operating background is why Kaufman Ventures invests the way it does. Several portfolio companies exist because a Kaufman & Company operating business needed them first, and Daniel Kaufman underwrites every venture check personally, the same discipline he applies across the platform’s real estate development and advisory work.
